The Georgia Forestry Foundation (GFF) is expanding its team with two new positions that advance the organization’s commitment to forest conservation, landowner engagement, and the future of Georgia’s forest economy. GFF is currently accepting applications for a Director of Forest Markets Conservation and Conservation Outreach Specialist to help expand mission-critical impact across the state.
The Director of Forest Markets is a senior-level leadership role that will grow the Forest Products Innovation Accelerator to help position Georgia as a national leader in forest-based manufacturing. Funded through a grant from the Richard King Mellon Foundation, the role will coordinate partners, advance emerging businesses and attract investment in wood-based materials, fuels and biocarbon technologies.
LEARN MORE & APPLYThe Conservation Outreach Specialist will work to provide technical assistance to a target group of more than 2,000 landowners to provide management and stewardship resources and to restore at least 10,000 acres of longleaf pine habitats across Georgia. The position is funded through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Longleaf Stewardship Fund and is designed to help landowners access Farm Bill cost-share programs and implement practices critical to habitat recovery.
