mass timber

seedlings to solutions: building a mass timber future in georgia

Mass timber is gaining traction as a sustainable and renewable building material. While building with mass timber is well established in Europe and rapidly gaining traction in the Pacific Northwest, acceptance has been slower in the Southeastern U.S.

Several factors contribute to this slower acceptance, including cost concerns and limited manufacturing capacity. However, the largest barrier to acceptance is the lack of awareness of the many benefits mass timber provides.

Georgia is poised to join the rest of the world in the rapid adoption of mass timber. To achieve this, GFF is bringing awareness, knowledge, and facilitating the acceptance of mass timber by Georgia’s decisionmakers.
