We support scholarships for Forestry and Agricultural Communications Majors at the University of Georgia and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. In addition to these scholarships, GFF regularly engages with students on both campuses to provide resources, information and opportunities to connect with forestry community in Georgia.
As a consulting forester, I look forward to using the experiences and knowledge I've gained at Warnell to support landowners in sustainable forest management.
We are cultivating leaders from within the forestry community in Georgia through support of scholarships to participate in the University of Georgia’s Advancing Georgia’s Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry. In addition, we provide full sponsorship for a participant of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leaders to educate them about the benefits of working forests.
Growing good leadership must be just as intentional as growing healthy forests. Leadership development programs train people to understand their strengths and leverage their talents to better serve their industry. GFF's partnership with AGL provides sustainable leadership development programming to ensure we continue to keep forestry strong in Georgia.
Emerging Leaders (EL) is the Georgia Forestry Association’s young professionals program that provides leadership development and a social network to a wide variety of forestry professionals across the state. The EL group is open to all individuals who are seeking to build their forestry career while honing their leadership skills.
(GFF is the nonprofit operation of GFA)
